Solution · Migrations

A new environment.
Take your process with you.

From one application to another, or to a new setup within the same tool. We connect source, destination and checks so you can move step by step.

Using Microsoft SCCM? We review what you want to move or reconfigure, which workflows depend on it and what the other environment needs.

Two familiar situations

Move tools or reconfigure

From one application to another

You replace a service tool, for example. People, assets and open tickets need to remain related in the new environment. Together, we decide what to transfer, how fields and statuses map and which integrations need to change.

Within TOPdesk: Configuration Management to Asset Management

You keep using TOPdesk but move to a new asset setup. We map existing configuration items, fields, relationships and linked people. We then agree how these become assets and relationships in the new setup, and how existing imports and follow-up actions connect to it.

TOPdesk

From Configuration Management to Asset Management

TOPdesk has a native migration wizard that converts objects to Asset Management. Migrated object cards are removed from Configuration Management. Imports, actions and reporting need to be reviewed.

Prefer a phased transition with Service Automation Suite? We can build new assets alongside the old objects with a traceable reference. We agree which person, location and asset relationships to transfer, how to retain access to ticket context and when to cut over. We also review CI types, field usage and existing integrations.

Start small. Expand with control.

From a limited trial to a controlled transition

  • Define the mapping

Which data and relationships do you need? Define authoritative sources, what to clean up and what to retain. Agree how to handle history and attachments too.

  • Transfer a defined subset

Configure the transfer visually and verify a limited set first. During the transition, process changes only through agreed routes to avoid duplicate or conflicting updates.

  • Compare and approve

Check counts, content and relationships, and whether your process still works. Expose errors and have the responsible owner approve the move. Agree the cutover point and fallback plan in advance.

Together, we check which data, history, attachments and actions your source and destination expose. A new data model, different permissions or a new environment may require revised mappings. The migration executes only what we have configured and approved.
