Our perspective · Scope4mation
Your processes. Your choices.
You want to move forward with your existing systems today and retain a choice tomorrow. That is why we connect Dutch technology with reusable process rules, visible dependencies and a workable handover.
Technology should work for you. Not the other way around.
How we put this into practiceStart with your process
Improve one handover using the systems you already have.
Stay in control
Make ownership, operations and dependencies visible.
Keep your freedom of choice
Agree on reuse and handover together, from the start.
Freedom of choice must be practical
Technology dependence goes beyond the location of a data centre. Who sets the terms, what happens when prices change, and can work continue if a supplier changes a product? Dependence on non-European technology also belongs in that assessment.
For us, digital autonomy is not a promise that you will never depend on anyone again. It means understanding dependencies and retaining meaningful choices. That requires visibility into data, integrations, process rules, operations and the terms of a future transition.
Dutch technology as a deliberate choice
Scope4mation invests in Dutch technology and the development of Service Automation Suite. We want to remain close to customers and partners, build process knowledge and discuss technical choices with the people who develop and support the platform.
This does not remove responsibility for the underlying supply chain. Hosting, connected applications, external services and any AI providers can each have their own suppliers, locations and terms.
The origin of the platform is therefore one part of an assessment, not proof that the entire chain is European or independent.
Keep your investments and make connections transferable
Service Automation Suite is intended as a connecting and coordinating layer between applications. You do not need to replace an existing HR system, a service application or a case management system to improve one handover.
We start with a concrete process and connect the necessary data and actions.
When an application changes, we assess which process rules, definitions and checks can be reused. New APIs, mappings, licences and tests may still be necessary.
Service Automation Suite is itself a supplier dependency: documentation, ownership, support and exit arrangements must therefore be a visible part of the setup.
Control also requires security and operations
Define the authoritative source for each field, who may make changes and who handles an exception. Agree how results are read back and which information is needed to reconstruct execution. This assesses not only whether a connection works, but whether the entire workflow remains manageable.
Assess deployment and operations against your requirements: data processing, the supplier chain, access management, continuity and handover. We agree which deployment and operating model is suitable and available for each environment. Not every combination is automatically a standard option.
Our existing Security & Trust information provides the starting point for supporting evidence.
Make it concrete with municipalities and partners
In municipalities, digital services cross departments and applications. A request can involve a case, a service task and a supplier action. Together with customers, municipalities and technology partners, we want to identify reusable handovers and preserve clear data ownership and accountability.
Start small: choose one process, identify dependencies and document operations and handover. Verify that it works before expanding. Freedom of choice then becomes more than an abstract principle: it becomes a set of agreements designed to remain useful when a system is replaced.
Start small. Build deliberately.
What does this mean for your organisation?
Bring one process. Together we will look at the systems, responsibilities and choices involved.
